Meet Mike Pisano, our lead academic instructor with a rich educational background.
With 36 years of teaching experience in the Clarkstown Central School District, Mike has been a dedicated educator, teaching core curriculum subjects and pioneering new programs at Bardonia Elementary School.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from St. Thomas Aquinas College and a Master of Education from Lehman College. Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for teaching to our reclass program, ensuring a nurturing and effective learning environment for all students.
Whether in the classroom or on the baseball diamond, Coach Pisano has always had a strong focus on respect for peers, opponents and authority. He has volunteered as a CCD teacher in many religious studies programs, instructing Catholic Doctrines and sacraments. Mike consistently stresses the importance of hard work and the dedication it takes to become a young man with excellent character and a productive member of society.
Mike’s baseball coaching experience spans a 38-year career, from 1986 to the present. His high school baseball varsity coaching highlights include a class AA New York State Championship as an assistant coach handling pitchers, catchers, and batting instruction. With over 30 years on the varsity level, Mike has helped place dozens of young men in the college ranks. Coach Pisano spent over 10 summers heading an 18U American Legion Team playing in tournaments up and down the eastern seaboard. He worked at several facilities throughout his career, organizing and running baseball camps and giving private skills lessons.
In addition to his coaching expertise, Nick is dedicated to education. A proud alumnus of Grand Canyon University, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, merging his passion for athletics with a strong academic background.
