Community of Excellence: Designed for high-achieving student-athletes who aspire to attend a private high school, THE ACADEMY 3A's Advanced Player Football Academy provides opportunities to train with like-minded football players who not only push each other to excellence but also create a supportive community that fosters camaraderie, teamwork, and a shared commitment to success on and off the field.
Football Training: Led by experienced football coaches, our comprehensive program covers every aspect needed to prepare for success as a private high school football player. From on-the-field position-specific training to whiteboard instruction and film study to improve football IQ to strength, speed, and agility training, we provide the comprehensive tools and expertise to take each football player's skills to the next level, strengthening their success on the field. Our student-athletes receive up to 10 hours of football instruction and training and 5 hours of sport-specific speed, strength, and agility training each week.
Academic Excellence: Academics come first at THE ACADEMY 3A's Advanced Player Football Academy. Our dedicated instructors support our student-athletes in reaching their full potential in the classroom. Our educational program includes preparation for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) and high school honors placement exams, giving you the competitive edge to excel academically.
Coach Conroy brings a wealth of experience and passion for football and education to his role as an instructor and coach at THE ACADEMY 3A.
Coach Conroy’s football career began as a standout player at Lodi High School, where he played under NJ Hall of Fame Coach Pat Tirico and was a member of the 2005 State Championship team. His coaching career started in 2006 with youth football, and he has since built an impressive resume that includes roles such as:
At Pace University, he continues to inspire and mentor players as he develops their skills and fosters a winning mindset as the Assistant Linebackers Coach.
In addition to his football expertise, Coach Conroy is dedicated to education. A proud alumnus of Grand Canyon University, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, combining his love for athletics with a solid academic foundation. He serves as an instructor for the educational program, sharing his knowledge in mathematics. He has completed a range of college-level courses, including:
With a dual passion for football and academics, Coach Conroy embodies the qualities of a well-rounded mentor. Whether on the field or in the classroom, his commitment to student-athlete success is evident in everything he does.
Coach Cobb is a proud alumnus of Don Bosco Prep and currently serves the Ironmen as the freshman team's offensive coordinator, running backs, and linebackers coach.
He brings a wealth of experience, having been a critical member of Don Bosco Prep football from 2006 to 2009, during which the team achieved remarkable success with a record of 47-1.
Coach Cobb played a pivotal role as a two-way starter on the 2009 national championship team, contributing as a standout player in various positions, including DE, TE, LB, WR, and more. His accolades include multiple state championships and recognitions, such as all-league and all-county honors.
After high school, Coach Cobb earned a full football scholarship to the University of Virginia, where he red-shirted in 2010 before transferring to the University of Delaware. He became a four-year starter as a tight end and H-Back for the Fightin Blue Hens football team.
In 2014, Coach Cobb's leadership and community contributions were recognized with the AFCA All-State Good Works Team election.
His journey from high school phenom to college standout and now dedicated coach highlights his deep commitment to the sport and mentoring young student-athletes.
Jason Azzolino is a proud alumnus of Don Bosco Prep, where he played the offensive line and earned Second Team All-League honors in 2019 for the Ironmen.
Jason continued his football journey at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, where he excelled on and off the field. As a Center, he was a four-year starter and two-year captain and earned Second-Team All-Conference NEWMAC honors in 2023. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Minor in Business Administration and earned his MBA, showcasing his academic and athletic drive.
He joined the Salve Regina University football staff in 2024, serving as the offensive line coach and video coordinator.
Jason brings his leadership, strategic thinking, and passion for football to our program, where he’s committed to developing the next generation of student-athletes.
